The beginnings of the academic education of pharmacists in Warsaw can be traced back to the Academic and Medical Faculty operating in the years 1809-1817, when the Chamber of Public Education granted a "patent to HM Mr. Celiński for the professorship of Pharmacy in the Facultatis Medicae School of Warsaw," thus laying the groundwork for the launch of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Course at the Faculty.
For nearly 100 years, we have been teaching students and conducting innovative research. We educate Masters of Pharmacy and Medical Analysis based on the highest standards and current knowledge. We also offer innovative second-degree studies in toxicology with elements of forensic science. The faculty members are high-class specialists with teaching and research experience.
Among other things, our researchers look for new therapeutic substances, develop innovative drug formulation technologies, deal with the molecular mechanisms of action of therapeutic substances and the basis of diseases as well as medical diagnostics.
We are a center of high national and international reputation and position. We cooperate with numerous research centers in Poland and abroad.
